About your KentOne card
What is it?
Your KentOne card is your Kent ID card.
This multi-functional card enables you to access a number of Kent buildings and services. You can also use it to make cashless payments across our Canterbury and Medway campuses.
How do I get one?
Your school/departmental administrator should have ordered your card prior to your first day.
If not, Kent Hospitality will be able to help you request one.
Activating your card
This multi-functional card enables you to:
- use the Templeman Library and Drill Hall Library
- borrow books and use self-service machines
- become a member of Kent Sport
- pay for items at a discount in most outlets on the Canterbury campus
- access specific areas of the University
Access to restricted areas on campus
If your role requires it, you can request access to restricted areas at Canterbury and Medway, such as:
With your KentOne card, you can also access a number of discounts offered to our staff and students by local businesses.
Getting a replacement
If you require a replacement card, talk to your school/departmental administrator or contact Kent Hospitality.
Staff based at Medway campus needing a replacement card should email email@example.com.
Activate your IT account
You will get an email to your personal email account seven days before your start date asking you to activate your IT account.
This email contains your employee ID number, which you will need to activate the account.
You should let your line manager know as soon as possible if you have not received the ‘Activate your IT Account’ email.
