Overview

How to use the page type templates in Site Editor for creating standard school pages.

Standard pages

The standard school pages are the pages suitable for most schools to help them market their courses to prospective students.

They provide a consistent structure across all schools. A smaller selection of pages gives us the opportunity to focus on quality, strategic content and makes the sites more maintainable.

Thematic content through stories

Good stories should be planned to showcase the school's themes, be they portraying employability, internationalisation, community or outreach.

Specific pages about these aspects won't necessarily highlight them for your visitor. More pages often means quantity over quality when we already find maintaining the basics challenging.

Think in terms of good stories. These can be added to your 'news' (and categorised) to show real stories through students and staff.

They also provide fresh features to link to from the standard pages within your site.
