Roadmap for staff returning to campus

As the Government continues its easing of lockdown, the University has a roadmap for staff returning to campus from 10 May 2021 onwards.

We are keen to welcome staff back to our campuses as soon as it is safe to do so. This will be done in line with the Government’s roadmap for ending lockdown, keeping flexibility where we can for those that want it. Your line manager will confirm with you when you are able to return.

Phase 1 - from 10 May

•Staff who NEED to return to campus
•From 10 May – start of the Summer term
•In line with Government guidance and more students expected on campus
•Essential staff and staff who cannot work effectively from home due to their working environment or personal circumstances

Phase 2 - from 19 July

Staff who WISH to return to campus
•From 19 July – planned end of lockdown*
•In line with Government’s hope to remove all legal limits on social contact

*This has been moved back from 21 June following a change in the Government's roadmap for lockdown easing

Phase 3 - from 20 September

All staff EXPECTED to work on campus, albeit with increased flexibility offered by new Hybrid Working Scheme where possible
•From 20 September – start of the Autumn term
•Subject to continuing Government guidance
